It has been awile again since my last update! I have gotten pretty bad about blogging! Not sure why, I used to find it as my outlet! I do post regularly at my caringbridge site if you care to follow what is going on with me there. www.caringbridge.org/cathibottelberghe
I am back on chemo again, as the cancer decided to rear it's ugly head again in September. I am back in Sioux Falls, so no more long drives to Sioux City, Iowa! I am not happy about being back on chemo again, but it is what is keeping me alive so I just keep plugging away!
Briana will graduate from high school in just a few shorts month and I already get teary eyed about it. I just can't believe how fast time has flown by! She is going to Lake Area Tech up in Watertown, SD, going to follow in her mom and dad's footsteps I guess! ;) She is going to be study cosmotology and then down the road she is going to go back to school for photography! Well that is what she tells us anyway....that could change as she gets settled in her career! We have been having a good time, taking her senior pictures! She actually let me take them! We have been all over the place! I must say we got some good shots and had some good laughs along the way! What memories!
We are taking a big family vacation this summer. Starting at home and heading west! Spending time along the coast of Califonia, seeing the sights, seeing family and meeting my cancer buddy as well! Then we are going to hit the Grand Canyon, 4 corners and come up through Colorado and see family there on our way home! We are planning on being gone for 20 days! I got the blessing from my oncologist yesterday. She is going to work around our vacation with my chemo schedule!
The kids' are loving school and next fall I will have one gone from the house, another starting high school, another starting middle school and the youngest enjoying her last year of elementary school! I will also celebrate my 40th birthday this coming fall! What a HUGE milestone for me! I am looking forward to 40 and all it has to offer!
