Vacation Day 1

Yesterday was a LONG day!!!  We didn't get out the door at 6am like we had hoped but were on the road by 6:45.  The first 5 minutes were rough as the kids decided they wanted to fight,bicker and call each other names.  After that they settled down and had got into a zone. The older girls stuck their noses in their iPods and cell phones and the younger two watched a movie. We were decked out in matching 4th of July shirts which we will wear again on Friday!!!!  Just a few mishaps throughout the day. Colby left his phone at the Dairy Queen in Hot Springs, Jason thought he had lost a filling in Wamsutter. But the icing on the cake was when we got to the hotel and tried to get settled, that we had brought the wrong air mattress.  The pump didn't work so the younger two had to sleep on the floor, on the air bed deflated of course.  Yesterday was a LONG day but we got all the way across the state of South Dakota and Wyoming. We are about an hour and half outside of Salt Lake City.  We arrived in Evanston, Wyoming around 10 local time. 15 hours later. Today.....our drive time will only be about 7.  North Nevada is the next stop!  Here are a few random pictures from yesterday, one of them was Jason's attempt at photographing the Wyoming state sign. It was an epic fail.....but at least he tried!!!!  Enjoy!
